Following up on the success of the J-50 (formerly C-50) jaw crusher, McCloskey International’s latest release is the compact J-40, an entry level unit in the track mounted jaw range.

Featuring a true 24-inch x 40-inch jaw, the J40 provides production rates which are unattainable in other compact tracked jaw plants, according to McCloskey. Hydraulic wedge CSS adjust allows for push button CSS control, while an ultrasonic level sensor in the jaw automatically adjusts feed rate. These crushers feature a class-leading 7.4 cubic yard hopper capacity, to provide contractors with a range of loading options.

Plus, despite the high capacity jaw and hopper, the J40 has transport dimensions of only 8 feet 3 inches wide, 41 feet 7 inches long and 10 feet 6 inches high, while weighing in at 68,500 lbs. The J40’s power requirements are supplied by a 225-hp CAT C6.6 ACERT engine driving a high efficiency hydraulic system.
